Starting and managing a business involves reaching several milestones that are often made easier with a business attorney, if not require you to have one. Founded by Jon and Katrina Greiner, a San Antonio husband and wife team, Greiner & Associates PLLC came to be out of a natural passion for helping small businesses succeed.
Jon Greiner is one of the managing partners of Greiner & Associates PLLC. Jon is a graduate of the St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. He also holds a B.A. in International Studies. Jon is an experienced lawyer with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions. His passion for helping businesses succeed has resulted in the firm representing over $300 million in commercial entities.
Jon is a proud Texan with deep family roots. Jon’s interest in business and business law came from his own experience growing up in an entrepreneurial family. He grew up with a working understanding of the business of ranching and farming and the importance of real estate law and development. Jon and his wife, Katrina, also own and operate several business entities of their own. Jon provides his clients not only with an in-depth knowledge of business law but also his own experience and knowledge of operating successful business entities.
When Jon is not in work, he’s enjoying the outdoors with his family. Together he and his wife enjoy kayaking, canyoning, hiking, and fishing. Jon also takes great pleasure in serving the community of San Antonio. Jon serves as a volunteer mediator at the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center. He is also an officer for his local Kiwanis chapter, Alamo Kiwanis Club.
Katrina Greiner is one of the managing partners of Greiner & Associates PLLC. Katrina is a graduate of the St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. Katrina received her B.A. in International Studies with a focus in International Commerce. Katrina is an experienced lawyer with a focus on contracts and operating agreements. Katrina’s attention to detail and knowledge of business forms and contracts has made her an asset not only to the firm but to the over $300 million in business assets owned by clients of the firm. Katrina is essential to providing on-going outside General Counsel for many the firm’s clients.
Katrina grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. Katrina’s family are experienced entrepreneurs in multiple industries from oil and gas to marinas. She sits on a board of directors for an oil and gas company as well has assisting her husband, Jon, in the managing of the firm and their other private business holdings. Hard work, legal experience and a proven track record of successful business development makes Katrina an asset to all of the firm’s General Counsel clients.
When Katrina’s not working, she’s enjoying motherhood with her son and daughter or spending time outdoors with her growing family. Katrina is an avid angler holding two fishing world records. She has also been a Duchess in the 2008 Feista Royal Court in San Antonio. Katrina believes in giving back to the community she calls home. She currently serves on the Development Committee of the DoSeum- San Antonio’s Museum for Kids. She is also a corporate sponsor and active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
Amy is the Director of Business Development at Greiner & Associates PLLC. Amy holds an M.Ed. from the University of North Texas. Amy received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Amy has over 25 years of experience in the corporate business arena with a background in marketing, advertising, human resources and business development. Amy’s experience and background allow her to connect with business owners and investors with a knowledge of business systems and needs. She is able to assist clients in communicating needs and recognizing risk factors that the legal team must be aware of to mitigate.
Amy grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She owns her own business consulting and marketing firm. Amy’s education and career experience, as well as her own business ownership, makes her an asset to the firm’s clients. She is experienced in understanding the internal systems and growth needs of businesses. Amy’s understanding of businesses, business owners and hidden risks allows her to be pro-active with the firm’s clients for improved client results and experiences.
When Amy’s not working, she and her husband are enjoying the “empty nest” years. Amy is an avid reader and traveler. She enjoys historical studies, playing the piano, home DIY and gardening as well as attending the San Antonio Symphony. Amy is very active in the business community. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Women in Finance/ San Antonio Chapter (WIF/RMA), the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners/ San Antonio Chapter (NAWBO) and serves an Ambassador on the Commercial Real Estate Women/ San Antonio Chapter (CREW).
Nyssa Garcia is a paralegal with Greiner & Associates PLLC. Nyssa is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Government and Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies. Nyssa comes to the firm with experience in Corporate Immigration Law. Her attention to detail has been an asset to the firm and its clients.
Nyssa grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She is a fluent in Russian. She is also an experienced coder in HTML/CSS. Both of these diverse skill sets showcase Nyssa’s ability to process detail. Whether she is helping create a contract or review a contract for a client, Nyssa’s eye for detail shines. She has been an asset in the firm’s work with defense contract work as well as cybersecurity/ tech related companies.
When Nyssa’s not working, she is very active with her close-knit family. She enjoys reading, learning new languages, gardening and video/photo editing. Nyssa is very involved with her church. She is a volunteer teacher. She is involved with both local ministry and international mission trips. She also enjoys working on musical productions at her church.
Christopher “Chris” Ross is a recent addition to Greiner & Associates, PLLC. Chris has over a decade of helping clients fulfill their legal needs and protecting their legal rights. He is licensed to practice law in California, District of Columbia, Texas, and the Western District of Texas – Federal Bar. Chris earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law; his M.B.A. degree (emphasis in Managerial Leadership) from City University of Seattle; and his B.S. degree from Regents College. Prior to law school, Chris served as a Special Forces Engineering Sergeant (Green Beret) assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group, Airborne, with two years of service in the Middle East.
Chris uses every bit of his education, business acumen, and legal experience – as a former white-collar crime prosecutor and commercial case civil litigator – to help you navigate through difficult and stressful situations. Whether you are involved in stressful litigation or a complex business transaction, Chris prides himself in taking the time to build a trusting, professional attorney-client relationship. Through this process, Chris will come to best understand you and help satisfy your specific needs.
When not working, Chris enjoys the outdoors, U.S. military history and the Old West. Chris loves studying the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, The Little Bighorn, The War of the Rebellion, The Alamo, and The Revolutionary War. Chris also enjoys working on classic American Muscle Cars, historical blacksmithing, and antique restorations.
Jack is an associate attorney at Greiner & Associates PLLC. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Jack received his LL.B and Finance degree from The Australian National University. Advising clients in Merger and Acquisitions as well as advising clients in the Manufacturing sector and cross border transactions with China before coming to the US to take the bar. Jack received his LL.M in transnational law from the University of Dayton School of Law and prior to joining Greiner & Associates PLLC worked in technology transactions including software as a service (SaaS).
Jack focuses primarily on Merger and Acquisitions, transaction structuring including minimizing risk to clients and other corporate transactional matters. Jack brings his experience in corporate finance negotiations to help clients achieve their desired outcomes. He has previously worked pro bono with disadvantaged Australian Aboriginal youth access the legal system as well as work in poverty alleviation.
Jack is conversational in Mandarin and during his studies was a presenter at a speaker event contrasting the American and Australian Constitution and in particular Australian not having a Bill of Rights, he was also member of the Asian Law Student Society. In his free time, Jack enjoys hiking and kayaking and has a love of Asian food. Jack plays the violin and has previously played for the Melbourne Youth Symphony Orchestra. His hope is to visit as many states as possible.
